This page contains general information about the 3D ModelWORKS Web site, grouped by category.
Select a category of interest from the list below.

A model on is usually
available in multiple formats. Prices and available formats are set by the author, and are listed
along with detailed information about the model - such as polygon count,
texture size(s), and file size. The author has the option of providing
a thumbnail image of the model, 3-way image, and a streaming
3D version for viewing before purchasing.
When model information is shown on the screen, the available formats for
sale will be shown in the bottom-left corner of the page. Click on the appropriate
link to add the model to your shopping cart (you can remove it later if you wish).
You may review your shopping cart at any time from the
shopping cart link at the top of the page.
When you are ready to check out, click on the
Proceed to Checkout link.
You will be walked through the process of entering credit card information,
and e-mailed links to the purchased models on authorization of the sale.

our online
e-commerce system use the
CyberCash
transaction model, the most trusted e-commerce solution on the web today.

In order to sell models online at ,
you will need to register as a modeler. This is a
quick process. Once you are registered, you will be able to:
- upload your models
- define the available formats and prices
- enter key information about the model - such as polygon count, file size, texture size,
and keywords
If your are registered with our Financial Transaction Service, you will receive e-mail
notification each time one of your models has been purchased.

custom Viewer, which allows customers to
see a model in interactive 3D before purchasing the model. This Viewer uses
the latest streaming technology to allow viewing of
full 3D across Web connections.
In order to enable this feature, you need to download and install the
Viewer.
This is a one-time process for a single computer.
Files formatted for the Viewer have been compressed and password-protected.
They may be viewed by any customer, but cannot be exported to other formats.

The
proprietary 3D technology allows secure viewing of 3D content
over the Internet.

The 3D Viewer uses a combination of mouse movements,
mouse buttons, and keyboard commands to move the camera and, optionally,
to manipulate the model.
If a model is set up to interact with the mouse, these special actions will be defined
under the INTERACTION description.
